Our mission is to invest in early childhood education for the children without parents. We do that, by providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas like basic needs, guidance, knowledge, and emotional support in order to empower the next generation of Tanzanian children.

What is our belief?

We believe in a world where every child is being well taking care of . Our mission is to invest in early childhood education for the children without parents. We do that, by providing necessary resources in underprivileged areas like basic needs, guidance, knowledge and emotional support in order to empower the next generation of Tanzanian children. We believe in smart fund allocation, and therefore we employ minimal staff.

OUR PROJECTS

Phase 1: Gathering Resources

The first phase of the project consists of gathering all the necessary financial and human resource funds for starting the second phase. The initial cost of investment is 83,583 USD, which includes legal clearing of papers, the plot, amenities, building the compound, safe water, solar electricity, and human resources.

Phase 2: Construction of Homes

The second phase involves the acquisition of the land. After the local authorities' approval of amenities, we will begin constructing 5 houses with 5 bedrooms each, a kitchen, and one large garden to grow enough food to sustain at least 50 children for the beginning.

Phase 3: Welcoming Children

The third phase is where we welcome the children to their new happy home!

CONSTRUCTION

What are we doing now?

We are currently in the initial stage of starting the construction of our first house for children, which costs approximately $21,416.6 (55,501,118.90 Tanzanian shillings) as analyzed in the attachment below.

About Source of Funds

We are inviting people who are willing to donate funds for starting the first phase of construction.

We are working hard to ensure our goal of providing basic needs to these kids is achieved. Alongside our efforts, we also invite different donors to join hands with us in this mission.

Below is the drawing of the Lucky Home Family house.

OUR VEGETABLES PROJECT

Our vegetable farm

This farm is about 1 acre in size. The initial cost of this project is approximately Tanzanian shillings 4,000,000/= equivalent to 1,551.29 US Dollars. This amount of money covers areas such as clearing and farm preparation, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, farming tools as well as paying a farm worker for one initial month.

Why is this project important to us?

This project aims at cutting down expenditures on buying vegetables from retail shops, where prices are higher. However, running this project also requires funds for better vegetable seeds, pesticides, wages for farm workers, and even buying better chicken breeds and poultry feed.

OUR POULTRY PROJECT

The initial cost of establishing this project is approximately Tanzanian shillings 5,000,000/= which is equivalent to 1,939.11 US Dollars. This covers areas such as the construction of a poultry farm (house), buying the initial 200 chicks, purchasing poultry fodder for the first two months, medicine and vaccines, as well as one month’s salary for a farm worker.

WHO TAKES CARE OF THE KIDS

Anna Philimon

We have hired mamas who take care of the kids daily by doing a number of domestic chores such as cooking food for the kids, washing clothes, cleaning the houses, and parenting the little kids.

These mamas live with the kids, where they get free meals and accommodation within the community houses. This means they do not pay for meals and the room where they reside.

However, we pay these mamas little money as a start of the journey (about TSHs 400,000/= equivalent to USD 160 per month) that helps them meet their needs and those of their families.

Paying salary for the mamas is one of the things that mostly depends on the money obtained through fundraising conducted by our donors, whom without their efforts we could not afford to pay salaries for the mamas.

We therefore invite more people to sponsor and donate for our kids from the little that they have been blessed with. We believe that together we can move the mountains.

TRUST

Trust in us, here you can see all our documents and certificates.

Lucky Home Family is a non-profit organization with a core mission of providing basic necessities (food, shelter, clothes, healthcare, and better education) to young children in the Tanzanian community who have lost their parents.

The organization (orphanage) is situated in Tanga region, Handeni District Council, and Kang'ata ward, where we have enough land but have not yet built up.

Currently, we host three orphans, whom live with their grandparents, These children are just the smallest portion of many children out here with no one to hold their hands. We intend to offer shelter to these kids by accommodating them together as one family where they will be nurtured and enabled to realize their dreams.

However, financial constraints have made the achievement of our mission slower than we expected since our organization solely depends on aid or donations from donors both within and outside the country. We would also like to inform everyone that we are planning to construct a living house for the kids with the following features: two big rooms for kids, a dining area, a sitting room, a volunteer room, a maid's room, and three toilets.

We invite all good-hearted people out there to lend their supporting hands and help these young stars achieve their dreams. We are humbled to receive whatever will cater to any of the mentioned needs.
